Chicago in 77
Chicago in 77 is a written time capsule of the author’s visits to all of Chicago’s 77 community areas. Over the course of 10 years, the author’s curiosity to learn about Chicago drives her to step foot in all 77 areas of the city. Travel with her on a rainy tour through the historic Pullman district. Delight in the discovery of a hidden northwest side community. Pause in the solitude of a nature preserve. Witness movie-goers in costume in the middle of the summer. There are rotten tomatoes, strawberry Paczkis, drunk sports fans, and manicured pets. Take a break, step out of your routine, and explore new places around Chicago.
