Join we all live here at the West Loop Arts Festival, September 16 and 17, to take part in one of the largest community art installations ever to take place in Chicago!
The West Loop Community Organization has partnered with we all live here to develop a 40 foot x 40 foot custom, collaborative globe mosaic made up of 6,400 tiles provided by Daltile. The mural will be located on the Lake St. side of Bridgford Foods in Chicago's West Loop and we invite any one and everyone to participate in the creation of the mural!
This massive, tile-mosaic globe will serve as a physical manifestation to all of Chicago what can be accomplished when we all work together. To take part in the mural, participants are invited to purchase a tile, ride a lift, and adhere their tile to the wall. As a thank you, all participants will receive a custom photograph of the mural shot by famed photographer, Jesse Lirola.
Additionally, all proceeds will go to funding art programs in schools as well as Light Up Lake Street, a lighting installation to help make Lake St. safer.
Once the physical globe is complete, an online version will allow participants across the globe serve to populate the planet by adding their name and their hometown. We hope to eventually represent every neighborhood, every state, every city, every country, and finally every continent.

About we all live here's ACT program creates public art at Chicago schools by conducting assemblies for their entire student population. The students learn basic graphic design, community building, crowdfunding, and generally how to make an idea come to life as they work together to bring a public art project that brings positive inclusivity to their school's neighborhood. Our programs are funded entirely by people purchasing the products and experiences we sell.
